A Little Something from me again..

My dear Blog Buddies!!

I've been away for months now, and oh my! how much I missed crafting, blogging and your friendship! But for these couple of months I have been veeery busy and had more important things to do. But every now and again I manage to do a little something, and so I just came for a quick posting to share it with you.. and seize the occasion to leave an Easter blesing for all of you!

Some days ago I did a card and a matching tin for some sweeties :) One of the Sisters had her Birthday, and we thought we'd do something special for her.
I didn't have much time to colour in an image, so I printed a gorgeous saying from Karen's lovaly selection, and used last weeks's Sketch from Sketch Saturday.. but didn't post it in time to enter it there.

It felt a bit awkward, and it took me quite some hours to make the card, as it had been months since I finished one :) But hey, here it is, and I hope you liked it.

The tin I used to make a fun container for some sweeties is a recycled Milupa Camomile tin, I find it a wonderful size, and easy to embellish. Only the lid is a bit soft, but I managed to do it as well (thank God for nesties!) :)

I used quite some flowers, bling and a wide ribbon (the same I used on the card). I also added a couple of dangling charms, held with a large brad.

The papers I used are Blueberry Hill, Papermania. I just love the soft tones, and the fact that it is an A4 paper pack it's lovely for such projects.

I used a Stampelglede stamp for the Cross.

I have checked the list of challenge blogs, and well, I saw I may fit these into a couple of them :)

C.R.A.F.T Challenge: Flowers
Stampavie and More: Birthdays (I have done these for a Birthday occasion)
ABC Challenge: S is for Sparkle (I used glitter glue etc)
Cupcake Challenge: Lots of Layers

A side view of the tin.

I also decorated the inside with a couple of computer generated sentiments, and a Stempelglede stamped frame. I used Weathered wood Distress ink for the frame.

I hope you are having a wonderful Spring. I am sending you tons of hugs and lovely wishes for a wonderful Easter. I hope that you are giving your soul some refreshing time as well, and may the Risen CHrist bless you and your families, in whatever part of trhe world you are in !!

Shop till you... Drop!!!

Hello everyone?! Had a lovely weekend? Or having.. for those who are some hours behind me?! Mine was fabulous, got some time to play, and some more to rest and pray, so it couldn't get any better! :) Today I want to share with you this queen of beauty.. what you think of her?

She's having some fab time.. shopping and shopping.. till.. she drops something! A girly card, isn't it? I decided to use lavender, purple and green as main colours. Purple is my favourite colour, but funnily enough I don't use it often in my creations. Anyone knows why?? :)

I used some papers that were gently sent to me some months ago, this cutie Anya stamp, and Friday Sketchers' sketch. I added lots of bling, and emellishments on this one. I added some stitching on the panels for some more movement.. and I did move! Can't get straight stitching! Something else I need help for! :)

On the inside I kept the same scale in colour. I added that cute sentiment from a craft cD, some more embellies.. and a shoe that Anya must have dropped from her stuffed bags! :)

Click on the pictures for better viewing.

I'm off to sleep now.. I'm tired, and I don't want to start the week on a tired note! :)) Big hugs to you my friend. Thank you for the time you spent here. I hope you'll find some inspitration of any kind. Know that peace and prayers have already been offered freely to you from me! x

Cupcake Challenge * 14 - Sketch by me!

Okay, so Monday is here, and besides all of us having to start another busy week... it also means another Cupcake Craft Challenge. Yay!! This week, as I already told you, it's my turn to set the Challenge. I chose to combine a sketch, and some requirements to go with it. I designed the following sketch for us to follow :

The sketch can be turned sideways or at any angle you choose, added with any embellishments, and the sentiment is up to you, where and if you make one! BUT I would like you to include at least one scalloped edge in the card, and the card must include the colour BROWN somewhere (light brown, dark brown.. whatever).. it can be in the image, in the paper, embellishments, or all of them.

This is the card I made for this challenge.

It is a large card, an A4 scored in half, but very much detailed. I used white cardstock, and layered the DP on blue card. I handstitched the two panels behind the image, and added two corners in the negative design.

When that was set, I coloured in this lovely Magnolia image, sent to me by lovely Summer in pencil colours, and added depth and shade on the rose with glitter pen colour picked with a damp brush. It is very glittery in real life, but the photo didn't get that well.

Then I chalked the edges of the image, and stamped some swirls and doodles in blue. After that, I distressed with Antique Linen Ranger ink. When that was done with, I matted on brown cardstock, then dotted light brown paper, and then blue. On the last layer I included the scalloped edge with the Martha Stewart doily lace punch.

I mounted the main image on 3D foam tape, but before sticking I added a piece of brown satin ribbon and a two hearts charm, which was included in Bev's blog candy.

Being very fascinated by Rhinestone swirls seen on other bloggers' creations, I always wished they would be available here... but nothing to do! So I designed a swirl with a light pencil line, and made one myself!! :) I confess that I love it!! It consists of 36 rhinestones, and it stood out beautifully ;) lol

On the other side I embellished with flowers.

Two sizes of Papermania fabric flowers, and a couple of spacers that were also in the blog candy. Now I have only 1 left!!! :)lol Behind the flowers I added a cardstock swirl and a computer generated ticket with the sentiment that says : "Lovely Birthday Wishes".

When all was mounted and ready, I added silver glitter glue to the image's and the card's edges for some shine, and glittered also Tilda's wings..
I hope you like this card, and that it inspires you to join us in this week's challenge as well.Go th the challenge blog, and while you're there check what the other DT members have created. Check out also their blogs for more ispiration. I am very looking forward, as this is my first ever sketch, to see your interpretation of my challenge. Good luck, and thanks for finding the time to visit, and for the wonderful comments you leave. I really appreciate them!

As always, I wish you all a lovely week, full of health, peace, joy and love. The Blessings of the Lord be with you and your loved ones always.xxx

Penny Black Challenge- Sketch 3

This week I was blog hopping at some challenge sites, even though i can't participate in some (as they require a certain type of stamps)... but I love visiting all the same, and be inspired by the wonderful creations, and adorable cute images. While doing this I met this lovely sketch on Penny black Challenge blog, and the wonderful DT makes.

When I saw Jovita's card, I fell in love with it! It's so cute and lovely made!

Then I rememberd that I had received that particular image on a Birthday card from one of my Trimmie friends, and I could recycle it and use it :) Without firther ado... this is what came out... and I really love it! ;) It's bright and cheerful, isn't it??

For thiscard I decided to use some free papers that came with a magazine (can't remember which!)
Sentiments :"Today" and "Bee Happy" are computer generated, the round is SU Firendship set
Scrap of light blue from other card
yellow didi gems
corner rounder punch
Paper and foam flower

Anyway... thanks for looking, and for the lovely messages you leave me.. you really make my day!! Send you hugs my friends :)
And have a lovely night!

When friends meet... My Papertake Weekly Challenge entry

This week at Papertake we have the following sketch to follow, and the Design Team, including wonderfully talented Katharina herself( who designed this sketch), gave us lovely projects to inspire us. The WoJ stamp being given to the winner makes you want to try your best.. so let's see!!

Yesterday I was really tired, and having come back from the pool with the kids, and made the loads of clothes etc.. I thought I was ready for a quick blog hop, and off to bed! But when I start with papers.. and ribbons.. and colouring.. then I forget about being tired! I loved working with this image, again it's a swap image I received from Maxine. The fact that it's not an image you usually use, it's more fun still! :)

Also purple is my favourite colour.. and the light pastels in this DP is very versatile in itself. The picture here is just not right.. the colours in real life are lovely. Scan colours are boring!

I paper pierced both the image and the sentiment for more effect. Image is coloured with water- colours, then added some depth with colour picked from shimmery gel pens, and tried to add some glaze with the pen.. but it decided it wanted a day off! Cake is shaded to give an impression of being very chocolatey :)

List of stash I used is not so specific, as DP and image have come from swap and BRAK,
white light blue and purple cardstock
bits from stash
fibres I recently bought from the Pound Shop
Papermania brads
White Ribbon
when friends meet.. sentiment is computer generated
Happy Birthday sentiment is hand- doodled.

thai is all .. and ... voila'!! Very chic! :)

Oops!! Fashionista did it again!!

This time I'm Second placed in winning the CB Forum Black & Pink Challenge... with my cute Hippo! I love this card.. shiny and girly and humorous !! Congrats to Maggie who placed first and Tigger , third place. There was some lovely entries :)

I entered this card for another challenge : Our Creative Corner, maybe Amy, for her 40th Birthday will compete with my Hippo!! Who knows.. I bet she's a Fashionista herself!! Are you Amy??? :) Have a LOVELY Birthday, anyway.

Pink and Black - CB Forum Competition

I wished to take part in this challenge, and with the busy week I had I almost forgot that today was the closing date!! :O
Anyway, I wished to experiment with this image that I received from Maxine this week in a frienship swap, and designed a card based on these two colours. I will be giving it to one of the kids for her bBirthday, which was earlier this week!! I know I know.. better late than ever! I promised her that she will get it!! :)

I named this card "Fashionista", because she is one!! She loves to dress up... she's a GIRL, what you expect!! ;) I also used a tag that was with some new clothes.. what do you think of this idea?? You like it?
