Hello there!!! How are my best evah blogging friends?? I missed you this week :)) I'm back from the 5 day retreat, gosh I needed the break, the quiet and peaceful surroundings, some cool air and lots of time to think, pray and share with my sisters. But I missed being here :) Well I have the weekend here, just before I take the kids to vacation next week. THANK YOU all for the lovely messages I found waiting for me, big hugs to all those who left me the comments :) It's always a warm feeling knowing that someone has thought of you while you were away! Thanks again.
I finished this commisioned card just before i left last Sunday. I took the photos quickly, but was already very late, so I couldn't write the post here to be published during the week. That was my wish.. but!! :)
Anyway, I had to this wedding card for one of the kids' teachers, who wanted a wedding card with lots of black & white, a hint of pink (okay I made some more than just a hint.. but it's very soft), and that particular Gorjuss image! :) Here is what I came with! :) What do you think of her?
She is one of my favourite Gorjuss girls:) I used the Sugar bowl sketch that is this fortnight's challenge, lovely sketch Lilian :) Sorry that I slanted a bit the two smaller squares! I'm very predictable in this!! :)
I wanted to use this lovely pink flower, that goes very well with wedding cards, and made the Gorjuss girl's dress glimmer with the diamond stickles. I typed the sentiment with Edwardarian Script on the computer, and matted it with nesties. The papers I used are from Papermania Regency A4 paper pack. The colours I used for the girl are Tim Holtz distress inks and I also distressed the edges with Tattered Rose ink.
On the inside I created this small image with the PC on photo paper, and matted it with black and then silver cardstock. Then a larger piece of spotted black paper, and finally the heart border on black cardstock. I added the wedding rings, and voila!! :)
On the other side, as you can see, I put a message, which I also matted and embellished. I used some pearls, white on the outside, salmon on the inside. They added a romantic touch in the card :) The teacher was really pleased with the result. I hope that the recipient will be as much pleased with it as well :)
I hope that I will hear from you, even a simple comment will do. Just know that it really makes my day! By the way, I found the Magnolia horse stamp I won from Bev (from Simon Stamp candy) waiting for me ! Yay! Thanks Heidi!! And thanks Bev!
Thanks for looking
Blessings
