I wanna be just like.. Club Anya Contest

Hello everyone!!
Did you like my BnW project I shared with you yesterday? :) I was so happy with your comments, and also with the ones left for me on Elisabeth Bell's page on Facebook. thank you for your support! It means a lot.

For today, just a quick post to remind you of the "I just wanna be like.." weekend contest that is going on on Club Anya. This time we have to case a card made by the talented Pam Varnell.

You can read all the details here, and you'll find also the card that you have to case. for those of you who are new to these types of contest the basic is this: A card from the Gallery is chosen to inspire us. We have to create something of our own, but use the same sketch that is chosen in this card.

My card for this contest is this. I used Birthday Anya, and used a brown, pink and yellow colour combo. This is because as I'm part of the DT, I won't enter this card for the prize, but I will be entering it for Basic Grey Challenges. I have used a piece of Porcelain Paper pad for this, and also Basic Grey Buttons.

Left the inside plain this time :)

A girl has to have bling.. they say!! Does mine have?? :)
I hope you like it, and that it gets your mojo going to participate. One lucky winner, chosen by Pam herself will get the prize! :)

have a lovely crafty weekend.. and make some time to laugh.. and read!! Both are VERY effective therapies ;)
Finally.. after about three months it's raining here, with some thunder as well.. I LOVE this weather, so I'm really happy right now ! It's too much hot here
in Summer.

Belles 'nd Whistles- Project

Okay, I'm sorry for leaving you for a couple of days. No I wasn't away, and my mojo was still with me (thank God!) :)) Look what I was up to!!

In fact I was working on this project I had started when I was on hoidays. These last two days I was working to finish it. I wanted to make this idea I had in mind for a couple of months now; in fact since I saw this project first on the ubber talented Camilla's blog.I don't think anyone has never visited Camilla.. if you just landed.. please do go and see her creations.. you're in for a treat that will last for long I tell you! :)

She had made this lovely savingbox, and I really wanted one for myself :) I enlarged it a bit, and made it a jewellery box instead.. not for me really.. for one of my girls! :) But I cased Camilla's ideas, and used the gorgeous Belles 'nd Whistles stamps. Thank you Camilla for your permission to blog about it :)

Top view of the box

It took me quite some time, and some stash as well! lol But I'm happy with how it turned out :)

The "drawers", made of three large empty match boxes stacked on top of each other :)

I will be showing you quite some pictures (sorry if some of them are not so sharp). It was already evening when I took the photos, so I tried to capture as much light as I could from my room.. but I think my hand was not very steady! :)

Close up of Lemonade Anyone?

Enjoy the photos, and I hope these fantstic stamps designed by Elisabeth Bell will inspire you to think out of the box, and make someone happy by using your talent and create something out of your heart. If you still haven't got these lovely babes.. what are you waiting for? You can get them here.

List of materials I used:

Dressy Anya teams up with Spring Burst- Club Anya DT

A delightful Anya-licious morning Lovely People!!

How did your week began? Mine was lovelty till now.. but mind you we're still at the beginning! :) But I leave it in God's hands, I know I'm safe there ! :)

Have you started creating with the new Anyas.. our Sporties??
Actually.. I played with this Anya .. wasn't feeling too sporty yesterday :)

I played with my Dressy Anyas.. actually I preferred excercising on that, rather than having a Football game! lol

So I "teamed" my Anya with Spring Burst.. the Papermania paper pack! Not a Softball team.. no! :)) Sorry!! I can't help it! It's all Jacquie's fault, she put me in a sporty mood yesterday on Club Anya!! :))

I used some Primas, Stickles for some bling, a spacer from my stash and a charm that says "Hope".
For today's card I used the lovely sketch at Mojo Monday. I found it interesting and different from the usual style, so I decided to give it a go.

This is a detailed view of it.

I had this sentiment printed for some weeks now, and wanted to make a Get Well Soon card. You never know when you need an urgent one! So, I used one of our Sassy girls, aren't they so versatile?

They can be used for any occasion, and this one is no different!

I hope you like it, and that I inspire you to "jog" your mojo.. you need to exercise it daily to "keep it fit!" Don't forget to share your gorgeous creations with us, in the Greeting Farm Galleria. We Love to see what you come up with!

Have a lovely F-Anya-stic Day!!

Rop DT- Challenge 19

I hope that you're eyes wide awake, had your cuppa, and ready for another challenge :)

Roses on Paper, (now challenge blog has also incorporated the Belles 'n Whistles
stamps) is ready to present you another fresh challenge, set by our lovely Peta:

Sketch + Punches

Good Monday Lovely People!!

Yes Peta wants you to use your decorative punches.. set loose your creativity, and select a sketch from any challenge you want. Yes you're FREE to combine this challenge with any sketch challenge that allows you to do so.

The only rules are that:

1. You must use ONLY stamps that are from the ranges found in Roses on Paper Store: that is Magnolia, Alota, Belles 'n Whistles and TGF stamps ONLY.

2. You must link your blog post to Roses on Paper Challenge Blog.

We are very much looking forward for some punches fun :)
You have till the 6th September to enter your creation.

Now let's talk about my card.
I have used Tilda with Ladybug for my card. I love this stamp, and I'm sorry that lately I have neglected my Maggies, as I am focusing more on the new Belles ' n Whistles and Club Anya stamps
But these Maggies are always so cute, aren't they?

I plucked up courage again and coloured her with my Copics :)
I hope that I am improving a bit.. I didn't get much tips last time I asked, so I have to try and do better myself I think! lol I used mostly my reds and Blue Greens this time. It isn't that bad I think.. but still not perfect :) Ahh I am always so fussy abour colouring!! I don't change :)

As for papers I used Basic Grey's June Bug ( lovely pack this one, especially those dotted papers, love the rich olour and distressed feel.) On the inside I also used a matching brad with a ladybug on :) so cute!

I went for the Just Magnolia sketch challenge this time, it was a lovely sketch, and I found some papers from the HOTP Papers, Earth Palette whose green matched the Basic Grey's so I used on of them for the circle on the bottom left, and I used one of the sentiment: "kindness" ,that was part of the pack. As you can see, I cut my circle with the nesties, and then I put it through my Big Shot with an ebossing folder. I made it the other way round, by mistake, but I think it looks cool like that. I like it better :)

Finally I added rhinestones, buttons and some Papermania (cream) and Prima flower. On top I embellished with the red sequin and rose star. I used my lovely branch punch for the outside. I love this punch :)

Click on each photo for a better view.

On the inside, as you can see I used more punches. I used the Martha Doily lace punch (yes I am still using iteven if it broken, couldn't part! lol). I added lace, and used my mini sewing machine around the panels. Then I added that cute vellum envelope. That is also a part of the HOTP Cardmaker Pack.

I stamped that diamond-shaped flourish stamp, and added mini rhinestones to add some shine. For the inside I printed a sentiment, which I distressed with Distress Inks, and stamped also with the flourish stamp.. also using the same distress Ink: aged Mahogany. I matted it , but before, I used a Fiskars corner punch to decorate the corners.

Dewdrops, flowers, faux stitching on the jotting panel and a small ladybug added for the final touch. This card took me quite some time, but I think it was worthed.

I wish you a lovely week, filled with lasting Peace and Happinees, and I hope that you will also make other people smile with your lovely creations. I thank you for supporting me and for leaving me your very appreciated comment. Even if you would want to know about any product, please don't hesitate to ask. Most of the products I used on this card, can be purchased from Roses on Paper online Store, where quality and service matters. You can find direct links to the Store by clicking on the highlighted products. Thanks :)

When a Boy is Special

Don't tell me that I had not warned you! Yes, I had told you that my Motivet stamps had arrived; and that it won't take me long to start creating with them! I have been bit by the Motivet Bug!! hehe

They are so darn cute, who can resist? These squirrels are the sweetest! And have you seen the new Hippos? Lol they can make you laugh out loud anytime. If you REALLY haven't, go and take a look here. Yo will surely fall in love! Yeah, don't tell me that I didn't warn you if your purse feels lighter after your visit!! :))

As maybe my friends and followers know, I had won these stamps by winning the talented Kellie Winnell 1st Challenge. I had promised her then, that if it will be possible, I will also participate in the next challenge she will do. And in fact I did! I loved the sketch she presented this time as well, so when I needed to do a boy card; I immediately chose this stamp, and Kellie's sketch. But for the challenge ANY stamp can be used. I only chose this as I just wanted to use it for the first time in her challenge! :)

Kellie, this is not all! In fact this card, in a few days' time, will be crossing lands and oceans to your Australia :)) Yes! Cause I made this card for a Special boy indeed :) He is my nephew's son, and lives in Australia. Obviously, as you see, Harley is his name! He's such a gorgeous boy.. but I haven't ever met him in person. He's 5 ys old.

For this babe I returned to my faithful Distress inks and reinkers..I wanted to play with shades, and I still feel more confident with them, than with Copics. I have only used Copics twice :)

I left the inside simple as well.

As it is a boy card,I kept the design to a minimum. I only used rhinestones (small ones, in the image's corners), buttons and fibres as embellishments. I wanted the darling image to be the focus. The sentiment is computer generated, and the name is Alphabet rub ons(Thank you Jacque for these.. I so love them!)

Have a lovely rest of the week! I do so hope you will join Kellie in this challenge. You can also win for yourself three of the gorgeous Motivet stamps.

Smiles!

Image used: Motivet (Dexter on a bike)
Papers: DCWV Earth Palette paper pack
Embellis: Buttons, Fibres and brads from stash.
Basic Grey Rhinestones: Roses on Paper

My first Copic Coloured card :)

Oh yes! This year my Birthday was surely fab. A lot of friends thought of me and sent me goodies for my Special Day, adding to the Blessings of friendship with which they enrich me all year through! :) An anonymous admirer of my creations sent me a whole bunch of Copics to try.. and oh! I was over the moon when I recieved them!! :) I'm so lucky indeed! Also today I recieved a lovely gift from dearest friend Peta :) ..all through the way from Australia :) a personalised stamp! How cute! I will show it to you in my next post. From Australia I also recieved my Motivet stamps today, so expect to see them here in a while :)

So.. without further ado, I present you my first Copic creation :) I decided to use A Whiff of Joy image. This time I want to recieve a lot of comments from you experts (and non)out there!I want to see some tips for me to get better for next time. I can't get Copic Certification from here, so YOU will have to be my teachers :)PLEASE

I am still very much behind your lovelt Copic colouring, but that's okay. I love to learn and try to improve. I was very much afraid to colour "too much", so maybe she's a bit pale for your taste? :)

I used A Spoon Full of Sugar Sketch, and Lemonade Basic Grey paper, together with some scraps from my left over pieces. I turned the sketch sideways though, to fit my image properly. Thanks for the lovely sketch Camilla.

Big hugs to you all, and I do really wish to read what you would like to help me with when it comes to these lovely tools in my hands. Hugs and Smiles!!

Belle poses for Friday Sketchers

Hello everyone!

I hope you had a lovely weekend :) I'm just back from a week vacation in our summer residence, where we took a small break of one week from the daily busy schedule of caring for our precious kids in care. Obviously we don't go all of us at the same time.. this week it was my turn :)

While I was there, I coloured my sweet Belle with teddy bear, from Belles 'nd Whistles stamps. Isn't she cute? She gives me such sweet memories of when I was young. I also had my favourite teddy, and wouldn't want mum to wash it for me.. we used to have a row everytime!! lol

I coupled her with Lemonade Papers from Basic Grey, and used Friday Sketcher's sketch for this week's challenge. I only left out the sentiment, I preferred it like that, as the paper is already busy enough.

I loved the sketch, and I added a half paper doily lace behind the image, and those two white flowers at the bottom of the image are made of real lace. They're soo lovely! The matching brads on top are also Basic Grey, and instead of the sentiment, in the top left corner I added three silver coloured dew drops. All these products can be purchased from Summer, at Roses on Paper (I only used the organza ribbon, angel charm and doily embellies from my stash). The Belle stamp can be found in Belles ' nd Whistles (another division of RoP), together with more lovely designs by the super talented Elisabeth Bell. If you haven't already visited the BnW sore, you must go.. and see what my so very talented fellow DT friends have created with these lovely babes!! Amazing!

This is a picture of the sentiments that I added for the inside. It is meant to be a Friendship card, or Thinking of You sort of card. I hope that you like it, and that you will let me know what you think. Would anyone want to ask me something , you can use either the Chat Box in my sidebar, or e mail me at the address that the link in my sidebar gives you. I'll be happy to help :) Have a lovely week!

smiles!!
