A warmer feeling!

Today I'm going to share with you another Earth Palette coloured card.. Featuring the gorgeous Penny Black animals :)
I love these colours, don't you?? :)
For an idea I started from a sketch from the very talented Katharina.. and added some more from there. I used HOTP papers and another striped I had in my stash... and water coloured the image on the same colur shades to match the DP.

I also worked on the base paper with some distress inks and Studio G clear stamps (adding some swirls ).

The bubbles and the cup in the image are heat embossed with clear powder added with glitter and then layered on brown glittery cardstock and then dark green. On top, before I made the final layer, I ued a Border punch to make the heart border. Finally stamped the PB sentiment on a left over base striped DP and cut with nesties, adding another scalloped frame from another piece of DP that is used in the card.

I finished by adding some baubles (that's how they are called are they??) :)
and some faux stitching.

Thanks for taking time to look. I hope you like it and that it inspires you to use these PB lovely images. Thanks Jilly for sending me this cutie image!!

A Hole in My bucket!

This theme is this week's Challenge at CC Challenge blog.. A Challenge which was set by our Jenny and you can use whatever the word HOLE inspires you to.. it could be an aperture card, a shaker card, anything that has a hole in it!!!

I decided to use a border punch for the sides and on the black mat cardstock... this creates holes :) and some eyelets to pass the ribbon into. Quite not my usual type of card! No cute images this time! but flowers ;) But all in all, I love the way this card turned out after all! I wasn't that sure at first, as I decided to use grey scale and pink (and a bit of brown as well).. but it created a lovely effect. Again I used quite a few dots around, as you may have noticed I'm loving this style lately. I also found, from most of the comments I get from you, that it may seem that you love them too!

For this card I used:
Pink white and black cardstock
For the main picture: DCWV Black & White Mat Stack
Fabric pink flower
glitter gel pens for dots
white organza and checqued pink ribbon
Fiskars Border punch (for the bottom border)
Create and craft border punch (for the sides)
Rayher Heart Brad
Gold frame and "gem" on ribbon (from stash)
K & Co Brenda Walton Tags and Corners (the upper corners' embellies)

By the way... I added a Heart brad at the bottom left, to hold a samll "Bloom" tag... two more holes in my buck... errr card!!

Anyway I hope you like it, and waiting to see your comments here, and your creations over at Cupcake Craft Challenge Blog, this week as well. Also as from this week, Lauren is putting up a weekly newsletter as well, with our latest news and creations, so why not pop over and sign up (free) for it??

God bless you always dear ones.. and I wish you all a lovely week, full of all the good we can get!

Say Cheese!!

I needed to make a folder/card for an image swap, and was also looking for this week's challenges and themes.. and I found this sketch at Friday Sketchers that left a lot of options and different ways to embellish. I decided to combine both. Here it is!

I used a purple/ orange color combo, and built the card around that. I embellished and made it quite layered. But purple is my favourite colour, so I never have enough of it! :)

Image is Charley and Sal , Cuddly buddly.. aren't they cute together?? :) I paper pieced the clothes, and decoupaged the trousers. I love these stamps for being so versatile in the way you can colour and paper piece them.

Anyway on the inside I left it quite simple.. but cute all the same. Keep on the lookout, someone will be having this image pocket very soon.. but NOT the Magnolia images!! :)p some other images, not my Magnolias.. they have come from afar to me.. I daren't part!! hehe

Dp are Dovecraft Kate Knight Aquamarine prints,(the smaller pieces bits from other cards left in my stash)
Lace, ribbon, gems from stash
Sentiment from K & Co Brenda Walton tags and corners
Sentiment on the inside : cuddly buddly

I hope you had a restful and calm weekend, and that you had time to play! Good night and God bless

Tag It!!!

Okay today I'm going to share with you something different!
This weekend, two of the sisters in the Community I make part of, will be doing their Profession; i.e. their Official vows. For us this is a Special Occasion.. like an Engagement, sort of.. just to put you in the Picture.

I wished to make them something personalised, and at the same time something that they may keep.. and that will be a source of courage and inspiration. So I made my first set of tags, to be pinned with a dainty and simple present.

First I tied the towels, face cloths and a Daily Prayer Calendar with a satin Peach ribbon, matching the peach small flowers embroidered on the towels.

Then when I finished the tags, and embellished with ribbon and fibres, I pinned them on top. They will be able to remove them, to be kept as a keepsake :)
These are a couple of close ups of the different layers. Both are the same, but I made them a personalised front tag, with their names.

I used scraps of paper from my stash, and various gems, flowers, lace, and some stamps.

The large image of Charley is Cuddly buddly, and the swirls, sentiment and flower are from Studio G Clear stamps.

Then I added a couple of buttons, brads, small pegs and some doodling, obviously :)

Anyway I hope you likee, and that I may have some feedback on what you like or dislike it these tags! :0 Every opinion counts, really! :0)

Have a good day (or night), I'm very much tired now... off to sleepie :0)

A warming cup!

I'm sorry you haven't heard of me this week! I had a hard week I can say, and I didn't have the strength or the mental energy to create something. I was a bit under the weather for this! But weekend has come, and at least i can put away the withdrawal symptoms! lol

This week it is Donna's turn to set the challenge at CCC Blog, and she provided us with a lovely sketch. This week I received LOVELY .. really lovely HM images from my friend Susan, and couldn't wait to use one of them! I had a huge smile on my face for the rest of the week! :) I opted to turn the sketch sideways, because I felt it worked more for me.

A heavily layered card, but it turned out so cute, and I love this style :) lots of dots and holes! ;) I don't know about you, but I had to use Pebeo paint to do the white dots. I tried a white gel pen, but doesn't write well. It disappoints me every time I try to use it. Have to add one on my wishlist I think!

Ingredients:
House mouse image
Black and Pink cardstock
Rayher Scrapbooking Paper
Circle and scalloped circle nesties
Silk flowers
White Pebeo white paint
Black pen
Pink glitter pen
Plaid buttons
Ribbon
Self adhesive gems on the buttons
Piercing tool
Sentiment is computer Generated

I hope that you try out this lovely sketch, I know I'm tempting you! We'd love to see what you come up with! It's fun!

Hope you have a lovely week, and may you have that special friend who warms your heart :)
Thanks for looking
God Bless you

Ahoy There!

This week I wished I had time to try out Lim's sketch, but I didn't succeed due to a lot of circumstances. But I'm in time for the Spoon full of sugar 21st Challenge. Again I pictured the sketch as very adapted to a boy's card, and decided it was time to make another one. The kids I take care of often get invited to their class mates's birthday parties, and they come in handy for a last minute preparation. I was given this image in a swap, and although I don't know the name (anyone can tell me please? And of whom) I really loved layering it all up.

Anyway.. there comes my pirate, and although he seems to have lost his treasure, he is ready for more!! :)

Maybe he's looking for you Lim! :)p

Have a happy week, and thanks for looking friend!
Peace to you, today and always !

Cupcake Craft Challenge team up with Friday Sketchers!

Ok... it's time to announce CCC blog's 9th Challenge : Turn up the Heat!! It was Jennifer's choice this week :)

This week we have to use heat on our cards... anything from Heat Embossing to anything that makes you think of heat/hot. You can make a card, or any crafty thing that you like, as long as you stay with the theme. Go to the Challenge blog to see what all the DT came up with, and check their lovely blogs for inspiration. I had done some blog hopping a few hours before, and I had decided to team up this theme with the Friday's sketchers sketch for this week. Little did I know that another fellow DT member, Ceal , had the same idea!!! :) lol

Anyway, I used a Sugar Nellie image I received from a swap this month, and embellished with flowers. The image is coloured with water colours and glitter pens. The sentiment is inked with clear ink pad and embossed with Silver embossing powder.

Let's start another week with the right kick! Have a go at the challenge. Use your heat, and fire your energy... make someone smile with a card this week! I'm sending someone a lovely card... just to make her smile!!

I am jumping on my chair!!

Oh dear!!! I won Lim's blog candy, and I'm still so excited!! Lim had a super candy including 150 images and a border punch that is a dream come true!! In the picture there was also some petite flowrs, and who knows me knows that I LOVE these papers and can't get any from here!! Do I sound like I'm overjoyed??! :) lol

Thanks Lim.. you made my day!! :

Whoever of you has never been on Lim's blog, go and see HER cards, I had her in my blogroll list for a while now, and I LOVE going back to her for inspiration. She makes the cutest flowers ever with her Stempelglede stamps (I adore the Grunge Collection by the way!)

Anyway, have a Blessed Sunday... mine is already super-blessed !! :0)

In my thoughts- Anki's Sketch ~1

My friend Anki decided to have a go at sketches, and being one of my favourites on my Blogroll, I decided to give it a go! :)
And here, I present you... my first real stitched card! :) Machine stitched... not hand stitched this time! :)
The stitches in the main image are faux, but the DP and the panel are done with the machine. It is a different card from ones I usually do, and I still didn't decide if I like it as much as the others or not... but this is what I came with!! ;)

For this card I decided to use a differnet technique (I never did it before at least!)
I cut two large leaves which were meant for decoupage, and I corrugated them before I stuck them to the card. After I placed both, I punched a large and some small flowers, and did the same. I think it added to the texture and different feel it gave to the flower.

After that, I added some bling to the flowers with a glitter pen. I also doodled a bit with glitter on the door.
Obviously Edwin's wings and star on his clothes are also embellished with glitter glue.

I used :green and purple cardstock
K-Ology DP
Magnolia House and Edwin images
Green silk ribbon
Purple flower and brad from stash
Small punched flowers and mini brads
Shake-it decoupage sheets for leaves
Sewing machine
Corrugating paper machine (for leaves and flowers)
Black staz-on ink pad
In my thoughts~ Studio G stamp for sentiment
Silver glitter glue

Hope you are having a happy and crafting weekend.
God bless you all :)

Penny Black Challenge- Sketch 3

This week I was blog hopping at some challenge sites, even though i can't participate in some (as they require a certain type of stamps)... but I love visiting all the same, and be inspired by the wonderful creations, and adorable cute images. While doing this I met this lovely sketch on Penny black Challenge blog, and the wonderful DT makes.

When I saw Jovita's card, I fell in love with it! It's so cute and lovely made!

Then I rememberd that I had received that particular image on a Birthday card from one of my Trimmie friends, and I could recycle it and use it :) Without firther ado... this is what came out... and I really love it! ;) It's bright and cheerful, isn't it??

For thiscard I decided to use some free papers that came with a magazine (can't remember which!)
Sentiments :"Today" and "Bee Happy" are computer generated, the round is SU Firendship set
Scrap of light blue from other card
yellow didi gems
corner rounder punch
Paper and foam flower

Anyway... thanks for looking, and for the lovely messages you leave me.. you really make my day!! Send you hugs my friends :)
And have a lovely night!

CCC Challenge 8 - Sketch by our lovely Ceal

This week at Cupcake Craft Challenges we have a new sketch to follow. It was talented Ceal's turn to decide a challenge and she gave us this lovely sketch. Go and take a look at her blog after reading mine :).. she has some lovely makes.

Now for this card: At first I started to think how I will cut a perfect oval, as I still don't have oval nesties, but then I rememberd that in a Birthday RAK I had received two oval nesties shapes! Yay!! I never cease to thank God for wonderful crafting friends :)

Anyway, I chose some coordinating papers, Tilda images and some other bits and started to work. I layered the oval on cream cardstock, cut around with scalloped scissors and distressed the edges with Distress Ink. Tilda and the chair are coloured in Pencils. I really enjoyed myself colouring her in. I never made her hair black, and I admit I like it this way! :)

Last thing I added was this bracket I doodled myself on Vellum paper with printed hearts (doesn't show at lot) and mounted the small paper roses on the edges. I love the effect this gave IRL.

For this WCMD card (I started celebrating by making this one) I used:

RAK paper (so don't know the name.. sorry)
White and cream cardstock
DCWV Text Prints Stack
Royal & Langnickel Mettalic Foils Rub on
Sizzix heart die
K & Co Brenda Walton small Love sentiment
small wooden peg from stash
small paper roses
deep red organza ribbon
Just for You paper ribbon on top of organza

I ALWAYS said that crafters are very good-at-heart people. And I want to dedicate this card to my lovely friends around the globe that think of me. As I was making the list of stash I used, I realised that other then the cardstock text print and Love sentiment, the rest are all RAKs! These firends of mine, knowing that I can't but that much stash and that I don't find what I wish here.. send me bits and pieces from the "ever growing and more than I can use" stuff.. as they call it! I'M SO GRATEFUL to you all, and I hope that you do come and visit here to see what you're helping me create. Hugs and kisses sent to you.xxx

Enough talk... I hope to see your lovely entries for this week's challenge. Each week the number is increasing, but we would like to see more.
Peace and Blessings

Sarah Kay twins up with Double Dutch for this special day!

Okay, I managed to do two cards today.. hip hip hooray! This is very rare as it takes me a couple of hours to finish one (I'm fussy with details!!)
One of the cards I can't show it to you today, as it is DT work for Cupcake Craft Challenges... you have to wait till Monday ;)
But for this special World Cardmaking day I wanted to post something... and I decided it was time to colour the Sarah Kay image Jean had sent me with the blog candy! I sulked a bit having to use my only remaining Sarah Kay.. but I think it was worth it. Lately I'm finding more skills with colouring with pencils.. I am more able to add the wanted depth and shades that I wish.

I love blue shades (I seem to love a lot of colours lol).. and this came quite nicely! I used Double Dutch sketch and Sarah Kay's True Blue theme for this week. What do you think? Isn'nt it cute and fluffy?? :)

So for this card I used up some RAKs' papers (ones I received from Amanda Mary and Maxine for my birthday)
Whita and blue cardstock
Sarah Kay image
light blue grosgrain ribbon
fibres
blue adhesive gems
round sentiment Cuddly Buddly
Nesties
Sizzix Tags2 Die
Blue ink pads
blue pen for faux stitching
K & Co sentiment "close to my heart"

Happy a Happy Weekend firends, and may your cardmaking help more and more people to smile!!

Thanks for looking

Do All the Good You Can.. CC Thursday- Challenge 29

This week the theme for the challenge is
Lots of sparkle!

The team wanted to see lots of sparkle.. and that's what I did on this card... made for this week's Cute Card Thursday. I made it with a RAK in mind.. made to go to someone special :)
I had fun doing it, and it always relaxes me so very much. I had to play with fine glitter, glues and gen pens to acquire all this sparkle (without trying to overdo it), but I did sparkle myself after that!! lol

For this beauty I used:
White and dark Purple Cardstock
K- Ology Verdena and Peabody DP
Purple Papermania Embellishment Kit (fibres and eyelets)
Satin purple ribbon
Self adhesive gems
Fine purple glitter
Gel pens for flower centres and faux stitching
plastic charm
Fiskars Border Punch
Lace
Baubles
This cute Fairy I received in Blog candy win (I think it's Lily of the valley)
Simple Thoughts Clear stickers

Hope that you have a peaceful day, sending you showers of Blessings :)
