While I'm watching His Holiness the Pope from the tv while he is in my country, I decided to play with this new Magnolia stamp that my lovely friend Sonja surprised me with!! you are one of my angels Sonja.. thank God I am so Blessed!
I wanted to join the Just Magnolia Birthday Hop, and the sketch the talented Mina did for the occasion is gorgeous to work with. Thanks Mina!!
I used all things Magnolia on the card (minus the lace, pearls and brads). But images, papers, the large rose and most of the smaller roses.. and foliage.. everything Magnolia. For some lovely Magnolia things, do pop over Roses on Paper Online Store. You'll find lots of stamps, flowers and lovely Magnolia foliage for grabs!
Tilda is writing a note of thanks.. I imagined that it was the case at least, and so I masked some books, which now she is sitting on. The books are also a Magnolia stamp. Then I cut around the combined image and behind her I created a die-cut oval with script.. to continue with the writing theme. For this I used the Script embossing folder, another gift wich came from Sheila, another God sent angel. To make the script more visible, I distressed the die cut with Antique Linen Distress ink.
Everything was coloured in Copics, and as you see I added some embellishments and loads of roses to compliment the papers.
This easel card was, as I said, created for Just Magnolia's celebration, but I wanted also to keep in mind some other challenges I wished to enter.
These are the challenges I'm joining with this Easel card:
Magnolia Down Under: Masking
ABC Challenge: Sparkle. I used Pearl Glimmer Mist on the panel behind the script panel, I hope that if you click on the close up photos, you will be able to see the light sparkle this creates.
Creative Belli challenge: Die-cuts
I hope you have a lovely week ahead, I wish you a lot of Smiles, happiness and Peace.. till I post again.
Thanks for looking
