Hello my friends! Happy Thursday!!
Sorry I've been away for a couple of days now, I'm sorry that not being able to post everyday, maybe, it is leaving some persons disappointed. But I have other important things in my life, as many other crafters, and even though I wish I can finish a card, or more, everyday; it is very hard for me to do so. Giving your life to God through those who need you, and caring for other people full time is not something you can put away for cards.
But anyway, you are here today, and I want to thank you for taking the time to visit me. I have a card to share with you today, and as you can see from the title, today we have Mo's Digital Pencil Project of the Month Blog hop, and it was lovely Cheryl's turn to challenge Mo's Dream Team.
Cheryl wants to see Buttons on our projects, and if you started our Hop from super Cheryl's blog and came here from talented Elaine's blog, you must have realised this by now. Buttons is today's word... and I included them also in my card.
I wanted to use another of my favourite of Mo's stunning images: Mummu's Bike. Isn't she a gorgeous, happy and free-sprited lady?? I LOVE Mummu's images, and I will be colouring some of her other images in the future. Mo captures fantastic expressions in her drawings that really make me look at her images for a long time. I learnt art at school, and used to draw as well, but Mo is a genius in facial expressions, and the way she captures the moves in every muscle.. fascinating!!
I used Basic Grey's papers for this card, and my new Swiss Dots embossing folder, for which I have to thank my lovely friend Sheila :) Thank you sweetie xx
As you can see, I distressed my largest rose with Fired Brick, and used some gold Stickles for some bling. Sentiment is computer generated. Brads are also Basic Grey. The image is coloured in Copics.
For the button embellishment, I used two seperate buttons; which you can see here.
I tied a piece of gold embroidery thread in the smallest button, and then with the help of glue dots, I layered them on top of each other. It turned out cool I think.
Round sentiment, stamped directly on the image is Stampin' Up.
Now you may want to hop off. But before you do, I want to thank you for coming to visit me today, and see my creation. Do let me know what you think of my Mummu. I hope I inspired you to create something yourself, and to visit Mo's Store, for more lovely images. The image I used, Mummu's bike, can be purchased here.
Challenges for this card:
A spoon Full of Sugar: Sketch used
Quixotic Challenges: Heavy metal (I used brads)
Cute Card Thursday: I used flowers, dry embossing ad embroidery thread.
I have to check the challenges again, I'll update my post if I can find more.
Now you can hop off to our GDT member Peri... I'm sure you have to pick up your jaw again.. she does lovely things, that girl!!! Oh and by the way, do pop again later, I have my Guest DT card for C.R.A.F.T. challenge to show you which I managed to do last weekend.
Have a lovely week, and Smile!!
Thanks for looking
