Thank you for your Loving care - ROP11

Okay another Monday, and another ROP challenge for ya!! I panicked last night, because these two weeks passed so quickly that I thought that next ROP challenge will take place in another week's time!! Phew... I managed to finish my entry a few minutes ago.. and I hope that you like it, and that you'll join us as well. I'd love to see your name there. Here are the details :

Join us for our Roses on Paper Challenge #11...

A Folder Card!

This wonderful challenge was thought up by Design Team member Anki...she'd like you all to create a folder card with a mother's day-ish theme!

For those who may need some help, Anki will be posting a tutorial
on our ROP Project Blog this coming Wednesday!

Don't forget, this must be using a Magnolia, Alota, Sarah Kay, Rachelle Anne Miller or stamp from the Greeting Farm!

The winner of this Challenge will be chosen randomly on Monday, May 18...you have until May 17th to enter!

The prize for this Challenge is the oh-so-cute Magnolia stamp,
Tilda Picking Lilacs!

Isn't she gorgeous!! I saw her on some blogs with soft flower on top of the lilacs, and she's way too cute I can tell you!! :)

The folder card I did, with Mother's day theme is as you saw on top, featuring a Sarah Kay image. Those small chicks are adorable, and the tender care with which that girl is taking to the one she's holding.. simply adorable!! On the back of the card I used a Magnolia stamp to make these chicks.. bigger now.. looking for their mom!! OOOhhh!! If you know where she is.. can you tell me please? lol

This is the inside view of the folder. One can put anything there: vouchers, money.. whatever. I have put in a mobile credit card, just to show you the pockets. The paper I have used is from Urban Prairie; Basic Grey. The outside DP is from a 6x6 pack, but the one on the inside is from a 12x12, tht's why the design is bigger :) I also added a sticker element (the bee) as it coordinates with the papers. It came as a prt of the 12x12 pack. Thank you Summer and Jacque for the papers! xx

The bottom DP, that has a lot of text on it (saying mother in different languages)is from DCWV Text Mat Stack. I coloured the images with my Distress inks and then embellished with flowers, dewdrops, gems and hearts. The "Savor every moment" sentiment is from K&Co, and the back sentiment panel is computer generated by me. I used a sponge to give it some colour and a Studio G clear stamp for some swirls and hearts! Finally I added some faux stitches around.

As you can see, it closes with the organza ribbon.. by the way, I made this folder card using Friday Sketchers sketch for this week. I also want to say that I took this idea from Katharina's Blog. Thanks Kath for sharing this wonderful tutorial.

Big hugs to you, and I hope that you'll find the time to join us. If anyone would like to make a question about something, don't hesitate to ask. I'll be happy to help if I can. I'd like to hear from you, do tell me what you think, or like, or dislike in this card.

Last, but not least (I actually left the most important till the end.. so that you'll remember!!! :) ) All the stamps, Basic Grey paper and brads, flowers, Ink pads, dewdrops I used can be purchased from Roses on Paper. Go and check it out.. Summer has also a good sale going on, and a LOVELY offer for returning customers! What are you doing stil here??? :)

Thanks for looking
