ROP- Challenge 3 - Colour Combo, and an Award

Hello everyone!! How is everyone doing at this beginning of 2009? This is my first post of the Year, and I came here to announce our Roses on Paper Challenge 3 (already!!) This time it was DT member Susan's turn to set the challenge and she decided on a :

Color Challenge!

This challenge will require that you incorporate these colors into your creation:

White, Evergreen and Grape!

Have fun with Design Team member Susan's wonderful color challenge!

Don't forget, this must be using a Magnolia, Alota, Whiff of Joy, Sarah Kay, or Rachelle Anne Miller stamp!

My entry for this wonderful challenge is this card. I hope that it inspires you to have fun and take part with us. You have till January 18th to make an entry. On January 9th the winner will be anoounced, and a new Challenge set. The winner will receive a gift voucher of $12 to spend at Roses on Paper store... Yummy!!

SShh remember that Summer has her after Christmas Sale right now. Hurry up to purchase your favourite stamps and all that you wish.. She just got the yummiest Distress inks and refillers for those who want to try colouring in the images with them. The results are super-wonderful. I'll be sure to get my hands on some. Magnolia's Jingle Jangle and Valentine's lines have arrived as well, as also some wonderful Alota stamps (those scenes are mmmm...) and gorgeous stickles amongs lots and lots more!! you have to see to beleive!!
Who can resist?? lol

Do you like the heart behind the framed image?
I found this genial idea from Camilla here. If you've never been to Camilla's blog... 2009 will present you with one of the most wonderful, inspirational cardmakers one can meet! She succeeds to make me glue myself watching her fabulous cards everytime I go there!! Way to go Camilla! you're super talented!!

You start by making a model out of a scrap of cardstock. Then find two pieces of coordinating DP pieces; to match with the card colours you will be using and you make the shape of a heart. It is a lovely embellishment which will cost you nothing, and will be ideal for your coming Valentine cards ;)

For this card I used:

Highlighted items from Roses on Paper store:
Magnolia stamp: Roses on PaperColoured in: Watercolour Fibre tip pens
Glitter Glue: on wings and socks
Main Purple DP: Forever friends Paper pack
Other small DP pieces from stash
DP for frame: Basic Grey (Sugared line)Flowers: Papermania
Pearl Brads: Papermania
Small brads: Dovecraft
Dewdrops on flower centre: Roses on PaperSizzix Stylised flower embossing folder, then Decorating chalks to colour
Purple organza ribbon
Green piece of ribbon for Tilda to sit on : from stash
White and green cardstock
Sentiment: rub on from stash

Last but not least I receied a lovely award from my dear friend Lim :)

It is a sweet award, and it has my favourite colour... so I LIKE it! Thanks sweetie for sharing your love and friendship! I want to pass it on to all those who leave me sweet comments here to brighten my day, and especially to SUMMER , who has gifted me with her lovely friendship, and a bunch of the most talented and caring friends one would ever dream of having! The Roses on Paper Design Team. I love you all.xx
