My Guy Ian

Hello my friend! It's already mid week, and I am so behind in challenges :) There are quite some interesting sketches and challenges this week, but I only managed my first card of the week! Booo!


So this is a short post today, maybe at least I get to colour another image today! :) hint hint.. a little girl in Kimono.. does that tell you something.. who is she?? :)







But today I ahve a guy for you, exactly My Guy Ian, from the latest Club Anya release; by the Greeting Farm. Boy.. this set has made boy cards almost fun to do.. if at least I had more choice in embellishments that are good for such boyish cards!! Sigh.. But buttons, sack fibre and dewdrops do the trick everytime! I used Stamp with Fun sketch this time :)





I coloured the image with my Copics, and matted images and panel after I distressed all edges.



I used Weathered Wood and Frayed Burlap for the "dirty look" around the edges, and Aged Mahogany for the reddish edges. Papers are from Cupcake from Basic Grey. They are bright, fun and can be also adapted for boyish cards, as you can see. I find these very handy for the parties the kids get invited to, from their classroom peers. Round sentiment is Stampin 'Up, and the one on the image is partly from the My Guy Ian set, and the "l8er" is one I did with rub-on alphabet.







Self adhesive ribbon and buttons from my stash. Dewdrops are from Roses on Paper, as are the Papers, Distress Inks and Memento Ink. If you like The Greeting Farm stamps, Summer is one of the online stores that has them flying to your home anytime!

Make a Wish.. Joni's Rule of 3!

Happy Saturday my friend! I hope that you'll have a lovely weekend! This week was very hactic for me, the week before school tarts.. lots of preparation involved. So now I was looking forward for some play time to recharge my batteries :) I decided to play with Club Anya's challenge, set by a lovely and gorgeous lady.. talented Joni. Wilson.



She named her challenge : Joni's Rule of three.. She chose three colours: Black, White and Pink.





We're also allowed only three types of embellies.. that was hard for me!! Joni!! I'm a multi embellish girl!! :) But I made it .. JUST IN YOUR HONOR!! I used ONLY ribbon, flower and dewdrops. Joni Wilson..You're so sweet. x










I used my loyal princess for this card, isn't she cute? If you like her, don't forget that Summer is one of the online stores from where you can get these babes. For those who are new to these stamps; they are The Greeting Farm stamps. I used Sketch and Stash sketch, the princess stamp and the black & white cs for this challenge are my neglected stash I brought up! I don't use Black & white very often.. and I have loads!

Coloured Princess Anya with Copics, and lots of Stickles :) That gorgeous flower came from Germany- from my lovely friend Sonja :) Thanks sweetie .. I love it.. and yes I still have another one:) I decided to sew it to the organza ribbon bow's centre.






The iside is based on the same colours, and in the same style. When I was taking the photos I realised that I didn't glue the pink panel straight!! Bah.. but now it's staying that way :)

Club Anya DT - Preview 3

Hello there!!

Having a fabulous weekend with Club Anya team? Liked all the previews till now?! I told you to brace yourself to some cuteness this week :) Well, we're not ready yet, you know?

Still one to go, and yes.. we left this one for Sunday, cause she likes Rockin' the Weekends. Do you remember when YOU used to rock.. and dance.. and spike your frizzy hair?? Yeah.. LOADS of make-up.. leg-warmers.. Madonna style off shoulder tops.. shocking colours.. and BLACK.. yes how much we reached for black.. and glittered clothes!! Fishnets and tons of rubber bracelets on our hands :) lol
From punk to rock.. to miniture Madonnas and Cyndi Laupers.. AAahh those were the days of disco my friend!!! :) Happy memores!! :))

Okay back from dreamland.. here comes:

80's Anya!!









I had fun making her in our favourite clothes.. with mini skirt and those frills! hehe. Marie did a lovely job. I then added the fishnet thights, that black spot between the lips and nose (I'm sorry.. got stuck here to what you call it.. forgive my English, was it beauty spot?). We used to do that with our black eye-liner to be like Madonna in her Crazy for You time, remember?? :)










Than I also added those tons of black rubber bracelets. How fun! This stamp, like all the others will be available on Tuesday here. I hope I brought tons of memories to you, and if you'd like to share something else you did, I'd be happy to read it :)

Club Anya DT - Preview 2

Hey dude!

Did you like Club Anya's first preview yesterday? What a cute Troop!! I hope you did, and already planned how you will be using those babes! Well today we have another set for you.. are you ready to whistle? :) I hope you do.. cause we have some gorgeous guys for you! Without further ado I present you...

My Guy Ian

Don't know about you, but I'm not really a boy card maker. I prefer loads of layers, embellies and girly or shabby chic styles. But tese two are freakin' awesome! They look like posing on a catwalk, with that cool and serious expression.. and they are my favourite from this month's release!

Both images are coloured with Copics, and the list will be in the end of this post. I used Marakkech and Archaic paper packs from Basic Grey.. and boy I had a hard time to keep the cards as plain as possible. I sticked to buttins, sack fibre,brads and boy sentiments.

Speakng of this, the set contains also some lovely sentiments that go perfectly well with the images. In these cards you can see the "Hey Dude" and " A special Guy", but there are some more.





For purchasing these sets, obviously you can go at The Greeting Farm. I hope you relase how much you "need" these lovely guys! Hurry up, or you'll be disappointed!

Club Anya DT- Preview 1

Hello friends!

Weekend is here again, and I'm relieved that Autumn is very near now! We had some thunder and rain last night, and the air is fresher during the day.. at least you feel up to it to do chores and stuff :) It gets so hot here in Summer, that it drains all your energy. So now I do prefer Winter with all it gets with it :)

As I told you earlier this week, we are starting previews at Club Anya today. There are some cute and lovely stamps coming out on the 15th, so we want to show them to you.. our Greeting Farm fans. Marie made such a lovely job again this month! I'm sure you'll like them!

Today I want to show you our first set: Cute Troops.

They are gorgeous, two stamps in the set, Anya and Ian in troop uniforms, and sentiments to go with them. They are so sweet, I decided to use them together, masking Ian and stamping Anya just behind. I also used the sentiment "teamwork", which is part of the set.

. Sketch ued is from A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge.

My girls will love this card, as they were Girl Guides two years ago. I used to love going to their parades and marches etc.. They looked so smart with the uniforms, plaited hair and black shoes! :))

In fact I used their uniform to inspire me for the colours I use. you can see the shirt and scarf in this photo :) Teal shirt, with orange badges, then blue skirt and three coloured scarf: navy blue, white and light blue.

Aren't they cute?! :)) I hope you like them as much as I do, and that you pop over to Club Anya. There you will find the official post with all the fantastic DT examples and release party deets, so brace yourself for more cuteness. This release will be my last one as Guest Designer at Club €Anya! Two months have passed so soon. I hope I as good enough, and that I did justice to these lovely stamps.

This image was coloured mainly with Distress Inks, then I made some final touches with Copics :) I like them combined. DP is Basic Grey Two Scoops, and the orange background paper is Lime Rickey. The sentiment was stamped on white cardstock. I played a bit with Labels 1 nesties, to achieve this effect. I was going to make it like a coat of arms shape, but it would have taken a lot of space.

Then I crumbled the paper, straightened it out again and distressed it with Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap Distress inks. Some Prima flowers and Stickles, black dewdrops and branch punch-outs for some embellishing.. and voila! Finally I decided to stamp two florishes in the top corner.. I hope it wasn't a wrong desicion, but now it's done!

Dressy Anya teams up with Spring Burst- Club Anya DT

A delightful Anya-licious morning Lovely People!!


How did your week began? Mine was lovelty till now.. but mind you we're still at the beginning! :) But I leave it in God's hands, I know I'm safe there ! :)

Have you started creating with the new Anyas.. our Sporties??
Actually.. I played with this Anya .. wasn't feeling too sporty yesterday :)








I played with my Dressy Anyas.. actually I preferred excercising on that, rather than having a Football game! lol

So I "teamed" my Anya with Spring Burst.. the Papermania paper pack! Not a Softball team.. no! :)) Sorry!! I can't help it! It's all Jacquie's fault, she put me in a sporty mood yesterday on Club Anya!! :))

I used some Primas, Stickles for some bling, a spacer from my stash and a charm that says "Hope".
For today's card I used the lovely sketch at Mojo Monday. I found it interesting and different from the usual style, so I decided to give it a go.





This is a detailed view of it.








I had this sentiment printed for some weeks now, and wanted to make a Get Well Soon card. You never know when you need an urgent one! So, I used one of our Sassy girls, aren't they so versatile?

They can be used for any occasion, and this one is no different!

Surprise Sporty Release- Club Anya

Hello everyone!! :)



Yes you read well!! Today we, the Club Anya DT, have a mini-DT Blog Hop for you.. a surprise relay Hop. We want to introduce you three new Lovely, Gorgeous, Fresh Sporty Anyas!Isn't THAT fantastic?! Marie has outdone herself again!

So without further ado, let's welcome :

I chose her for my card today as I had the right papers for her. I coloured her with my new Copics :) I also added lots of faux stitching with a white gel pen, Primas and dew drops. I also followed Sketch and Stash sketch challenge for this week. Take a look at it here. You can play as well if you want to. My new stash for the challenge.. obviously is my new Anya :)

Smile and Shine! Club Anya Contest

Just... Wild!

Hello my friend. How is your week going? Mine is not bad, but dear me... time is really flying off my hands!! hehe I wish each day was longer than it actually is right now!! I will be away for a 5 day retreat next week, so I'm trying to do as much work as I can before (as I'll be having refurbishment and painting in the flat the week after next,I have to clear away everything). I wish to enter some challenges before that as well.. we'll see! :)







Meanwhile today I managed to finish off this card , which is built on Michelle's sketch for A Spoon Full of sugar. Thanks Michelle dear, I had fun using it. Sorry i made the main image a bit slanting, I liked it better this way, this card being for a boy! You know.. you do see often boys who keep things straight and clean!! :)) The ones in my care don't at least!! :)

I used Skater Ian for this one. Isn't he gorgeous? I love how much fun he seems to be having! He's Wild I say!! I'm also participating with Simon Says Stamp's One Year Celebration with this one! Happy Birthday to you all!! You're such a fab team! Thanks for the lovely challenges you give us, and the wonderful prizes and candies you generously give away for grabs Heidi :) I was over the moon when I won Bev's stamp last Monday! Thanks xx




One of the inside panels. I left some white jotting space, for any personal message to the recipient.






This is another angle of the card. I used the gorgeous Papermania Jesse Papers for this one. Aren't they delish? Coloured Ian with my Distress Inks, but other than distressing I kept it quite clean, being a boy card. I added a couple of buttons and chocolate and mint Dewdrops on the inside, and a fabric badge and some other dewdrops on the outside. The letters forming "Wild" come from a HOTP alphabet tiles book. I'm off for some sleep now, I'm sooo Zzz :)
