ROP DT- Challenge 29

Good morning everyone! Happy monday, and I hope you had a lovely and blissful weekend. Thank God mine was very good, and I dedicated last week to catch up with my reading, I needed it; it had been a while :)

Anyway, I hope that you are ready for another challenge at Roses on Paper. But first of all I wanted to thank all those who perticipated at my challenge for the last two weeks. I wish I had the time to vist all of your wonderful entries, but I really had an awesome time coming to share your lovely creativity and see what you have done. Such talent out there!!

This time it's super talented and gorgeous Jodi to set the challenge for us. She chose Winter card..for a theme.. something that chills you out! :) Joking.

I had this image which a lovely friend had sent me, and I thought that I'd like to use it for my card. I just Love Magnolias, and wish I can work more cards with them.I used Midnight Madness sketch for this week. I thought it fits the image perfectly. I can also put it in for Saturday Spotlight Challenge (love card without hearts) and Stamp with Fun (Snowflakes)

First I coloured my image with Copics, and then cut around the image. I cut another piece of white cs and sponged the background with Weathered Wood and a hint of Broken China. The "ice" part was covered with Crystal Lacquer and Frosted lace Stickes on the edges.

When it was dry, I mounted the image on top, and matted with cream and blue cs. Finally I arranged the embroidery thread and glued in place with the help of double-sided tape.. including the snowflake charm in the process.

This image helps you see what a lovely effect the Crystal lacquer and Stickles gave to the image..as if it is with real ice. Let me remind you that of the highlighted products can be found at Roses on Paper Store, with much more sweet things, including Magnolia Stamps.

I hope you join us, and that you use one of the required stamp for the challenge. You can READ THE SPECIFICS HERE, and see the gorgeous cards te rest of the DT made for this challenge.

The inside view.

Good luck for the lovely prize Summer always puts up for the challenge, and most of all.. have fun. Remember that your talent is given to you by God to share.. it is the most wonderful feeling you get, when you see that look and smile on someone's face when you give him/her a handcrafted card made with love.

Smiles!

Thanks for looking
