Hi! Today I have something different to show you. I made this cutie for The Spoon Full of sugar Challenge, which is called Shape Shifters. They challenged us to have some fun and create something different; something which doesn't have a "normal" card shape. I had a blast creating this, and it won't belong before I make another one. I think it makes a lovely Birthday gift. One can hang it, and it's a cute keepsake in a girl's bedroom (in this case, where the layout is more girly)
A detailed close up of my embellishments : Flowers, lace, a small pin and charm.
For this circle card i used nesties to cut the shape and the various sized layers.
I also used Birthday emma.. I always think it's a cute stamp.. and I love it paper pieced. On top of the cake I used Frosted Lace Stickles, and Worn Lipsticj Stickles as well. Then when it was almost dry, I topped it (and the candles) with a fine layer of Crystal Lacquer. The other bits I coloured in Distress Ink pads.
I like this card, and I hope that you like it as well.. and maybe you get to make yours. If you do, I'd love you to tell me about it in a comment, and make me a link to it. I'll come and see it for sure!! :)
This is the inside of the card.

This is a beautiful card. It amazes me how you can make so many different elements on a card work together so beautifully. Susan and I were talking the other day about how different the style of cardmaking is in Europe, Australia, etc., than it is here in the US. I think it's just gorgeous, but whenever I try to imitate it, it just looks messy. I'm going to keep trying though because I love it so much. Keep making your amazing cards, Rosette. I really enjoy looking at them. Take care - Judy
I love birthday Emma!!!! She is excellent for wishing a little girl a happy birthday. I'm anxiously awaiting to see your next beautiful creation. I'm still thinking about the Oriental Anya you made. That probably is going to end up being my favorite of yours.....however I say that every time I see one of your beautiful creations! :)
Oh that is so pretty and has so much dimension. Thanks so much for joining in.
