Small crafty hands!!

This week we had two birthdays, and some of the kids wanted to have a go at cardmaking. When I told them I'd be getting them some of my stuff, they were already making plans and sketches in thier minds of how they wanted it.
They chose some red and pink papers which were free with Papercraft Essentials some time ago, and had a go at some images as well. I told them I'd be showing them to you, so...

Love Peace and Joy... the world's greatest treasures!!

This is my entry for the Cupcake Craft Challenge blog. Lauren's Sketch was to lovely to work with, but I opted to turn it sideways. This card has a lot of matting and layering, and one has to be careful to leave the same space between each panel etc.

The coordinating poemstone in the bottom left corner is layered underneath, and I punched a circle so that it shows at the front. I used transperencies to cover the front, and the sentiment and red gems are layered on top. If you see the different photos attached , in the bottom one you'll see the design without the transparency on top, it shows the difference fromthe photo of the card when you see it with the transperency on. I pray that Lauren will like this card, and also the person who will receive it! ( not telling obviously.. she may be watching!! )

A Card for Susie's Competition

Well, dear Susie had her wedding Yesterday, and to share her happy moment with us all she organised a blog Candy, a generous one I dhould say. So while she was celebrating yesterday, I prepared this card for my entry; we had to do a black & white card. Sue.. this is the message in the card (as because of the layers the scan came a bit blurred.. sorry!)
"It's your wedding day, a dream come true,
and a building of a future beyond "I do".

I wish you the most lovely of what your future can be. God bless James and you!

spoon full of sugar - Challenge 13

At Spoon full of Sugar challenge blog they have generously accepted to allow all kinds of images to be used in the Challenges... so now I can participate in this as well! Yay :) Debbie has designed a lovely sketch, and Katharina is offering one of her lovely stamps ( they are lovely) to a winner, so double worth a try!! This is the Birthday card I have done for this Challenge.

The stamp I used for the main image is from Cuddly Buddly, and the round sentiment is from Stampin' Up.I have paper pieced the dress to match with one of the background papers, and stamped designs around the image (stamp set from Studio G).In the middle of the brad I chose to stick a small sticker that is a miniture of one of the background papers' designs.
Papers: leftouts from stash
Flowers: Prima
Matting Brown Paper : Bazzil Bling
Ribbon : DCWV preppy Ribbons
Also added a rub on at the bottom corner : From K& CO

Tilda & Co challenge Card

*Challenge 32* Cold as ice...

The sun is now drifting away very fast and soon it will be as cold as ice....

Using the colours Blue & white Only . Show us how cold your projects can feel this week.

This week was a hard one, I was a bit tired and although my mojo didn't have a holiday, my spirits regarding crafting did - I could'nt find any energy to make this card.. today I promised myself that I HAD to make it!!

This week Tilda's Challenge Blog asked us to use blue and white, and the card had to be related to "Cold". And what's more cold than Snow? Another Christmas related card, but I like it :)

As usual the Scan doesn't make justice to the real feel of the card, but here it is!
I used:
White, Dark blue and a small piece of silver cardstock
DCWV Text Prints Matt Stack
DP from stash
Tilda Image
Nestabilities and Big Shot
Sizzix Stars and swirls embossing folder
Snowflake designed Vellum
White and light blue organza ribbon
Pearl Brad
Fiskars Texture Plate (to hand emboss the heap of snow Tilda is sitting on)
Rayher Felt Snowflakes
Pastel Chalks and blue and white inkpads (for inking edges and making a "snowy" feel around the base layers)

It took me quite a long time to finish it, but I'm happy with the result. I wish to find some more time for another challenge or two.. who knows, maybe tomorrow? We''ll see!
Thanks for visiting dear friend, and may the Blessing of God fill your heart.

The image of His Beauty

I ADORE flowers ... real flowers most of all. They are all lovely, special, unique in their own way, they definitely speak of God's Beauty, Love and Creative Expression. Although I don't like cards with flowers that much; this stamp reminds me in a way of real flowers. It's detail is beautiful! For quite some time it remained the only stamp I had, and I never really knew how to get the best of the image. I was at first attempts at stamping (am still quite new compared to most of you!) and didn't use it at all. Then I read a tutorial on a stamping magazine and I liked the idea of stamping the same background on vellum and colouring it in to enhance the image. I'm not 100% happy with the card, but then it's not that bad! I think I will leave it for mum's Birthday.. she loves cards with flowers ! :)
