Hello everyone! How is your weekend going? Mine is fine until now.. and I plan on catching up a bit! I am still using the images I had coloured when I was away :)Actually I have some stamps waiting to be inked up: the Magnolia horse I had won from Bev's Simon says Candy, and the Gorjuss set I won from the Sugar Bowl challenge. They are patiently waiting!! :)
Now for today's card. As you see I made another head-start card for Christmas, with this HAnglar beautiful image. Thank you for my friends that sent me these HAnglar images.. they are soo cute.. and so hard to find :)
I made this card for a Sketch challenge that the talented Kellie Winnell is making on her blog. The prize is some Motivet stamps.. and oh how gorgeous they are! Honestly I really like them, and the DT make some lovely cards with them :) If you never seen Motivet stamps, go and check them out here.
I coloured with Distress Inks, and used a white gel pen for highlights, and Souffle pens for making some dimension in the pompoms and on the glittery part of the hat. Last step (when the card was finished) I added stardust Stickles on the hats, Cinnamon and Baby Blue Stickles on the pompoms. Then I added some Candy Cane on the cloth of that pretty basket full of yummies the girl is holding. On the kettle and the cups and othet bits they are holding I put Crystal Lacquer, for some more dimension and shine :) The snowflakes of the image are rub-ons. I embellished the two opposite corners with a small silver star brad.
Behind the image, if you check, there is a doily lace, which I distressed with Faded Jeans ink, and a foam sponge. Prima flowers, Basic Grey brad and some flower buttons embellish the top right hand corner. The blue rhinestones are popped in the middle with glue dots. They came out good, what you think?
In this photo I want to show you a small polymer clay angel I added, isn't he cute?? lol I love his smile :). The bottom sentiment is a rub on, and I matted the CS after I punched the edges for some design.
On the inside I used a Basic Grey paper, then matted a piece of the DP I used on the front, and on top I placed a piece of the same velveted organza ribbon which I had also used on the front.
With an X-Cut punch I punched a couple of large snowflakes, and two others from the blue cardstock. I cut the middle piece of the latter ones, and popped them on the others for dimnsion. Finally i added a blob of silver Stickles on these and left to dry.
Next, I punched three more snowflakes form some remaining pieces of CS, again cut the middle part, and layed them on a piece of white CS. I sponged Antique Linen Distress Ink, and Brushed Courduroy on top of that.. the second ink just in the outer parts of the CS. While i went round I changed the snowflakes' places, to result in a border around the jotting piece. As you can see I added a sentiment in the middle, and some Anita's glitterations I bought from our local craft shop, Craft Mania.
Dewdrops and Silver Stickles made the final touch, and voila! Phew.. that was a long explanation! :)
