Spring has Sprung- Sugar Bowl 29

Hello there!

Today I want to share with you this Easter card I did for Sugar Bowl's challenge. The name of this cute stamp is Spring has Sprung, and I turned it into an Easter Card.. you know.. I have to think early for this lovely Season:) I love it's cute and shy look, and that perfect lamb, Elisabeth always captures those lovely details in her design.

I uesd Copics for colouring, but I sponged the sky with Broken China Distress inks. The papers I used are Basic Grey's Sultry papers, all of them except the tiny hearts paper, it is a left over piece from one of the earlier cards (I think it's a piece from BG Bittersweet paper, if I remember well).

The country elegance Prima I used is from Roses on Paper, the Prima roses are from Bunny-Zoe's online shop. Brads are Papermania, and the rest from my stash.

This is how I did the inside. I kept it simple. Mostly I used punched flowers and another of the lovely country elegance yummy flowers. I hope you let me know what you think of this creation, and thanks for visiting me today,

Hugs and Smiles!

Sugar Bowl - Gayle's sketch

Hello my friend, how are you? I hope you're having a smashing week... mine is a lovely one, but unfortunately the most of the kids have flu, or sore throat.. so not much swimming this weekfor them :) We stayed here today, and while they painted, and made cards, I finished this; which I has started yesterday. It is for Sugar Bowl. Gayle made a lovey sketch this week. I loved it as it left ample room for embellies, swirls ans flowers :)

Thank you Debbie for this gorgeous image, I really had fun colouring her :) I used distress Inks, and focused mainly on pinks and greens. Okay, I know, it hasn't been long since I used this combo, but I like it, and I thought that it suited her :))

The papers I used is Basic Grey Porcelain, and the glittered green are from Doodlebug. They are really yummy!!

This is a close up to show you the glitter on the papers, and shiny shoes and bow with Stickles.

To embellish I used primas and also some mini flowers on her hat and the flowers in the basket. Then I added small pearls to the centres. I love how they look. On the side of the image I added some more pearls, and a tag for sentiment. That is from K& Co tins. In the middle of the bow, I also used a hatpin with some white and green pearl beads, and a small spacer. Finally i added some Stickles on her shoes and belt, and a swirl die cut in the corner.

As for the inside I used complimentary papers, added a computer-generated message, and embellished with tags and flowers. Sorry these were in my stash, can't remember the name. I also decorated the jotting piece with Papermania Ribbon Sticker. I think it goes well with all the other papers etc.

I hope you are well, happily crafting and having some relaxing time this Summer. I try my utmost to make some me- time as well :) Thank you for any comment you choose to leave. It's always a blessing to find you've been here, seeing what I've done.

Remember that ROP challenge "Summer and Vacation" is still going on. Check it out here, and the Belles 'n Whistles sneak peeks are being held here.

Wedding Card for Sugar bowl Challenge

Hello there!!! How are my best evah blogging friends?? I missed you this week :)) I'm back from the 5 day retreat, gosh I needed the break, the quiet and peaceful surroundings, some cool air and lots of time to think, pray and share with my sisters. But I missed being here :) Well I have the weekend here, just before I take the kids to vacation next week. THANK YOU all for the lovely messages I found waiting for me, big hugs to all those who left me the comments :) It's always a warm feeling knowing that someone has thought of you while you were away! Thanks again.

I finished this commisioned card just before i left last Sunday. I took the photos quickly, but was already very late, so I couldn't write the post here to be published during the week. That was my wish.. but!! :)
Anyway, I had to this wedding card for one of the kids' teachers, who wanted a wedding card with lots of black & white, a hint of pink (okay I made some more than just a hint.. but it's very soft), and that particular Gorjuss image! :) Here is what I came with! :) What do you think of her?

She is one of my favourite Gorjuss girls:) I used the Sugar bowl sketch that is this fortnight's challenge, lovely sketch Lilian :) Sorry that I slanted a bit the two smaller squares! I'm very predictable in this!! :)

I wanted to use this lovely pink flower, that goes very well with wedding cards, and made the Gorjuss girl's dress glimmer with the diamond stickles. I typed the sentiment with Edwardarian Script on the computer, and matted it with nesties. The papers I used are from Papermania Regency A4 paper pack. The colours I used for the girl are Tim Holtz distress inks and I also distressed the edges with Tattered Rose ink.

On the inside I created this small image with the PC on photo paper, and matted it with black and then silver cardstock. Then a larger piece of spotted black paper, and finally the heart border on black cardstock. I added the wedding rings, and voila!! :)

On the other side, as you can see, I put a message, which I also matted and embellished. I used some pearls, white on the outside, salmon on the inside. They added a romantic touch in the card :) The teacher was really pleased with the result. I hope that the recipient will be as much pleased with it as well :)

I hope that I will hear from you, even a simple comment will do. Just know that it really makes my day! By the way, I found the Magnolia horse stamp I won from Bev (from Simon Stamp candy) waiting for me ! Yay! Thanks Heidi!! And thanks Bev!

Now... as I promised you I have another card to share with you today. It is a different style from yesterdays, actually featuring one of my favourite stamps.. the Gorjuss Beauty. I loved these first Gorjuss stamps so much! I don't have the second set, but I'm so happy that I own these babes! Thanks Sugar Nellie for releasing them.

I made this card for the Sugar Bowl challenge, a gorgeous sketch by talented Kathy. I have used different types of paper for this one, giving it a "muted" and shabby look. I helped this also by going around the image with the sewing machine for more than once.

The DP I used are Laura Ashley (the striped ones), HOTP Earth Palette's Cardmakers pack (the dotted one) and Papermania Nostalgia Warm (the Tattered rosed piece of paper). I added pearls, as requested, a Basic Grey brad, die cut flourish, dewdrops and some rub ons for sentiment.

As you can see I also paper-pieced her dress (the part beneath her bow :) I kinda like her! ;) Do you? I would like to hear from you what you think about this babe.. and about Summer's coming new release as well! :)

Big hugs my dearest friend :)

Forget me Not- Sugar Bowl Sketch

This week at the Sugar Bowl it was a fantastic sketch by Tiets. I just love sketches, and before I go to sleep.. I'm so ZZzzz :).. I'd love to share with you what I did with it. It will be my entry for the challenge. I wouldl ove to win a selection of Sugar Nellie stamps, but I never won a challenge; so I would have to be super lucky to win them!! But the most important is that I had fun! Yay!! :)

A close up of the image

Of course, I had to use my Gorjuss girls, and my Distress Inks :)
It was also a fun way to use some coordinating scraps in a creative way. I embossed the plain piece with my Sizzix folder, and made a border of small flowers with a mini punch.

Finally I embellished with some fun details, and decorated the inside :)
I hope you are having a lovely week. I'm off to have a good sleep, I need it!! :)
Hugs to you my sweet friend, it would be amazing if I woke up to find your message left here! :))

Gos bless you!

3 Challenge combo for Sunday Special

Managing to finish a card with lots of work is already a task, and something to be happy about at the end of the day.. if my card satisfies 3 challenges.. that is something to celebrate with chocolate!! :)) lol

I was blog hopping when I found a new (or new to me) challenge Blog - Colour Create.. and these want a Blue and Brown colour combo challenge.. yes I like! Then I went to visit the Sugar Bowl.. and they want Christmas!! Nooo.. not yet.. let's see.. Okay my friend and fellow ROP DT member Susan is a guest Designer at Sketch Saturday for these two weeks, and I love their sketch. It is a small way of encouraging Susan.. by participating as well! When I was looking for DPs having blue and brown.. you know what came into my hands? Dovecraft's Winter wonderland Papers!! I love those papers! Christmas?! Yes..okay; I give up!! :)) so I can make 1 card for three challenges :)

I coloured with my Distress inks, and added crystal Stickles for snow underneath this Maggie with Dotty Scarf image from sugar Nellie. After settling all the layers, I embellished with Papermania and Prima flowers, Basic Grey Brad, Basic Grey buttons and a Christmas charm (which I think was part of a blog candy I had won). Last, but not least I made a freehand swirl out of self-adhesive gems.

By the way, lovely and talented Kristin was kind enough to give me this award. Thanks Kristin... you're adorable! :) I will also pass it on to Jules, keep it up my dear friend! Thumbs up, and always look on.. never back!

Another thing Summer is celebrating 2nd Birthday of ROP and some other sweet things with a YUMMY candy! Check it out here.. you have to be in to win it!! I'll be with you in some hours' time for a new Roses on Paper challenge.. and this time it will be ME challenging you. Will you be prepared?! Hmmm we'll see!! ;)

Have a lovely night! See you tomorrow morning ;)
