Take time... Cupcake challenge -22

This week Lauren had prepared for us a simple sketch that can be used in lots of ways. I stretched a bit the image box, but otherwise I kept to the sketch.




I had fun colouring this fantastic House Mouse, using grape and lilac as the main colour in the image; and purple and yellow in the layout. I like the way it turned out to be.

Oh Happy Days :)

Seeing these lovely mice having such a deep and relaxed nap makes me think of those Happy Days.. whaen we were carefree, no thoughts to disturb our profound sleep.. and if someone dared to disturb that sleep!!! ..... :) lol
After some weeks I managed to do a DT card for the Cupcake Craft Challenge blog. This week's Chalenge is Blog Background inspired.
This is Lauren's theme for this week:

"This weeks challenge I would like you to be inspired by the background of this blog. Reminds me of chocolate cupcakes mmmmmm.... But you could use the colours, anything."... and so be it!
I went for the main blog background colours: Brown and pink. I had this image coloured which I wanted to use a few weeks ago, but was too large for the layout I had in mind. But for this card it worked a beauty :)




I'll be short, because it is very late, and I need some sleep before the dawn of day! :) I hope to manage to do at least another card before the new year knocks on my door... but I wish you the very Best. I hope you like this card, and I'll be happy with your comments. I will also remind you that those who don't have a blog or a Blogger account, can leave me a comment in my Chat box here in my blog. Sooo sweet! Just like an apple!

Isn't he cute??? This is another one of the images sent to me by my friend Susan.. You are sooo kind Sue... send you hugs!! :) I loved colouring this cutie, and adding shades to the apples to look as natural as they could get! :) look at that half-biteen apple..quite natural looking don't cha think??? Natural..just like the House Mouse Challenge blog theme this week. Furthermore I used natural sack for matting and also to thread around the tag (tag was naturally cut and made by my hands and not by die-cutting machine :) ) I also threaded the button with a piece of sack wool.. everything natural!! More than that... !! Can't be :))

I hope you like it.. I wanted to go around the base card also stitching with the sewing-machine, but it didn't want to work. Wanted to have a rest.. naturally! Hope you're having a lovely weekend. I'm off for a rest myself now.. cause I'm quite tired!!






Image is coloured with water-colours, Dp K& Co Verdena & Peacock, the dark red tag paper was received from a RAK, so I don't know, sorry.
image is matted and distressed with distress ink and with a craft knife (and then with my nails) hehe
Rub-on word from K & Co as well.


I had a lovely meeting today, with another crafter and blogger like me. We had quite a long chat, and swappaed some images and stuff. She's the darling from Cardmaking Galore. It was really nice Josianne having met you in person!! Had such a lovely chat! Tata for now!!

A warming cup!

I'm sorry you haven't heard of me this week! I had a hard week I can say, and I didn't have the strength or the mental energy to create something. I was a bit under the weather for this! But weekend has come, and at least i can put away the withdrawal symptoms! lol


This week it is Donna's turn to set the challenge at CCC Blog, and she provided us with a lovely sketch. This week I received LOVELY .. really lovely HM images from my friend Susan, and couldn't wait to use one of them! I had a huge smile on my face for the rest of the week! :) I opted to turn the sketch sideways, because I felt it worked more for me.






A heavily layered card, but it turned out so cute, and I love this style :) lots of dots and holes! ;) I don't know about you, but I had to use Pebeo paint to do the white dots. I tried a white gel pen, but doesn't write well. It disappoints me every time I try to use it. Have to add one on my wishlist I think!
