I can't believe that we're already on the 31st Challenge at ROP/BnW.. even though we make our challenges every fortnight, both weeks seem to go so fast! Anyway I hope you are ready for another week, and another fun challenge.. this time set by our warm, super talented Susan. This time we have a colour challenge; and that is:
Cream, Pink and Brown
Well.. it's been a while since I used this colour combination, and I had kind of forgetten how warm and appetising they look together.
As soon as I chose the papers, I knew I wanted to use this pretty Cupcake stamp. I know that many of you wanted this babe, and that it went out of stock! Well.. that's why I tell you to hurry up and RUN (sort of) to order the stamps from Belles 'nd Whistles and Roses on Paper stores.. it's a pity that then you have to get disappointed, isn't it?
I coloured this sweetie with Copics, and added some Stickles to her clothes. The papers I used are from Basic Grey's Bittersweet paper pad. Then I used Martha Stewart punches for some loopy effect, and embellished with flowers and pearls. The sentiment is from a Studio G clear stamp set. I also distressed the papers with Brushed Corduroy Distress ink, also from Roses on Paper. By the way did you check out the Store lately?? My goodness I've been there yesterday, and I saw the new foliage, roses and flowers Summer has for pre sale! I can tell you that my jaw dropped!! You MUST go and check what lovely things she has there!
Don't you love that lace flower in the bottom? I found it on sale in he Haberdashery section from a fabric Store, and I got quite some for future use :)
For this card I used sketch Saturday's sketch. I loved it, and found the occasion to play with it! :)
I hope you like this card, and that you get to play with us on our ROP/BnW challenge Blog. I'm sure it will be soon on the blog, and Summer will let you know what you can win this time ;)
Big hugs to you, and don't forget my candy (click on the picture on my sidebar, it will take you to the candy post).. it's waiting here for someone.. but as you say.. you will have to be in it to win it!!
