Girl in Kimono

As I promised, today I want to share with you a special kind of card, a different.. if you wish. In fact it is a card made on Oriental style. The image in fact is designed by the awesomely talented Mo Manning.

It is a digi image, and it's name is in fact Girl in Kimono. Mo has tons of lovely images in digi, so various and so creatively done. The lovely news is that Mo is now having real stamps, being released from Stampavie. That was a lovely news for all Mo images lovers. I can tell you that there are loads, and I am one of them.

I used Sketch and Stash sketch for this week, and the special "stash" is this image for me. It's the first time I cloured her. I used Copics for her, and as you see I made her a special frame. It is made of ribbon, and mounted on foam pads to give dimension. I found the tutorial here, on Stampartic. Thanks for the inspiration!

I also used some Oriental designed papers from stash, and engraved some of the design with gold glitter pen. Hopefully in this photo it shows better (you can click on it, if you want a bigger view).

I hope you like it, and that you tell me what you think of this different card; if you like it or not. It's soon weekend, and I hope that it will be a lovely and relaxing one for all of you my friends. Sorry for the quick post, but we have a big thunderstorm right now, and I'm working with battery.. so I have to be quick, while it lets me work :)

Thanks for looking

You did a beautiful job coloring her Rosette. I bet Mo would be proud! That is awesome news that Stampavie will be releasing stamps of her images. I'm a big fan of Stampavie and their artists. Awesome ribbon embellishment too and thanks for sharing the link on how to do it. Wonderful card.

Your card is absoulutely stunning, Rosette. I do love the image!! It's really cute. You've done a fantastic job with the colouring, and I adore the pink ribbon circle. It's so fun to see a card so different from what we normally create.
Have a great week-end. I will collect two boys and two dogs today. They've been away since Monday (autumn break from school) and I am looking forward to have my whole family around me again :)

Hugs, Kristin :)
